Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):

We are pleased to inform you that Cuba-Rushford District is in Year 1 of the 4-year Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Designation we reapplied for and received in 2023

FAQ

  • All students enrolled at Cuba-Rushford District are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school atno chargeto your household each day of the 2023-2027 school years. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee.  CEP requires the school to provide a complete meal. Individual items, additional items or second meals are not included under the program but are still available at the regular breakfast and lunch prices.

  • The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) acts like a 'grant' for school districts and it allows schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) located in low-income areas to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students.

  • The district qualified for four (4) years, however, depending on the district’s ability to collect the CEP Eligibility Forms from every household, it will affect our ability to extend for longer than the 2023-24 school year.  The district risks losing a portion of its federal school aid and/or this free meal program if all parents do not complete the form below.  If you could please fill the CEP Eligibility Form and get it back to the building secretary prior to September 21, 2023.  For details, please visit the schools website at:View Community Eligibility Provision Form
